There is plenty to do whether you visit Fort St. John in the summer or winter. From the relaxation of horseback riding, jogging or hiking through quiet country trails, to exploring the region to encounter wildlife you will want to stay a few days to do it all. Wildlife
Adventure tours and excursions can be organized to see bears, moose, mountain goats and deer in their natural environment. Encounter birds and the abundant wildlife of the North.
Area Attractions:
- WAC Bennett Dam - largest earth fill dam in North America, 22 km west of Hudson’s Hope
- Fort St John Museum - artifacts and history of the Peace Region from the 1900’s - 0.5km
- Pomeroy SportCentre - Fort St. John’s newest recreation complex and the only indoor training facility for speed skating in Northern B.C.
